KENMORE JR HIGH HAPPENINGS

Summer is finally here and students are off enjoying the warm days and sunshine. The construction for our new wing began at "The Ranch"! We have been asked to exit for the month of July, so we are out of here. The office is closed for that time. It will reopen on August 4 with summer hours - 8:00am to 2:30pm. Regular hours will resume on September 2 from 7:00am to 3:30pm.

The 2008-2009 school year begins September 2. ONLY 7TH GRADE STUDENTS, ASB OFFICERS AND WEB LEADERS WILL REPORT ON THAT DAY  and assemble in the gym for orientation. School begins at our normal time of 7:55am and dismiss at the normal time of 2:25pm. Buses will run their normal routes too.
ALL STUDENTS are require to attend school on September 3. Seventh grade students will already have their schedules and will report to their first period class. Eighth and 9th grades will report to the gym for orientation, locker assignments and schedules. See you all in September!!
Unpaid fines and fees will result with students not receiving their report card or yearbook. Fines should be paid in the main office.

Student Safety
Please be cautious of our students, we are extremely concerned with our student's safety when they arrive and leave school. Our parking lot was not designed for the current amount of traffic. Please:
  • Follow directional signs in the parking lot. Always drive slowly, follow posted directions and be vigilant
  • When possible, allow students to ride the bus to and from school
  • If students are walking to school, please remind them to do so safely. Wear bright colored clothing, carry a flashlight, and cross carefully at intersections. Make every effort to stay off the roads.

On-Line Access to Student Information
The Northshore School District's Parent Assist Program provides parents and guardians secure access via the Internet to information regarding their children's attendance activity, demographics, transportation schedule, and for secondary students only, reporting period grades and class schedules.

We enjoy a tradition of excellence in our academic and extracurricular programs which encourage life-long learning and prepare our students for success in the future. Our experienced staff is thoroughly committed to our students' academic successes as well as their development as responsible citizens.

While our structure could be considered traditional, our talented and caring staff continues to align our curriculum and instruction with "best-practice" research-based methodologies. We are very proud and excited about the learning opportunities our students receive; and they consistently perform at a high level.
